Front Yard Renovation with Bulkhead Replacement and Enhanced Landscaping

We specialize in transforming outdoor spaces into functional and visually appealing landscapes. For this project, we collaborated closely with the client to redesign their front yard with a focus on durability, drainage, and aesthetics.

<b>Bulkhead Replacement and Structural Upgrades</b>
The existing bulkhead was replaced with a 425 ShoreGuard® system, supported by 2x6 CCA framing for long-lasting stability. Additionally, we removed and replaced all railroad ties, securing them with 10" spikes and 36" rebar to fasten each layer. These ties extend four layers underground, with tiebacks installed every 6 feet to ensure strength and longevity.

<b>Driveway and Drainage Solutions</b>
To address persistent flooding issues, we removed the existing driveway and raised it with RCA (Recycled Concrete Aggregate) for improved elevation. Before installation, we incorporated a comprehensive drainage system to prevent future water accumulation. Once the RCA was compacted, a stunning 5/4 bluestone driveway was installed, seamlessly matching the existing design.

<b>Landscaping Enhancements</b>
Within the newly secured railroad ties, we relocated and backfilled a fish pond, adding visual charm and functionality to the space. All vegetation was carefully transplanted, supplemented with fresh topsoil and sod for a vibrant finish. To complement the shed, we installed cedar window casings, designed to withstand high winds and provide a polished aesthetic.
