Bulkhead Repair and Reinforcement

We understand the importance of staying within budget while delivering high-quality solutions. The existing bulkhead had begun to bend for this project due to rotted tie rods. Rather than replacing the entire bulkhead, we implemented a cost-effective repair strategy to restore its strength and stability.
Our process included excavating behind the bulkhead to install new tie rods and deadmen while pulling the structure back into alignment. To ensure long-term durability, we utilized 1"x14' galvanized tie rods and 10" diameter, 20' horizontal butt piles, providing robust support. Additionally, 6x6 pins were vibrated in front of the deadmen to further secure the structure.
Once the bulkhead was straightened, we installed a new cap, giving it a fresh and reinforced finish. This approach not only restored the bulkhead's functionality but also saved the client a significant amount of money compared to a full replacement.
